f*ck direct tv!!

so, we had direct tv for about 2 years in miami... moved up here to DC, and found out that FIOS was offered here... so i called up direct tv... paid the cacnellation fee, and shipped back the recievers. had FIOS installed, loved it... and thought everything was set. until today, when i find 800 bucks missing from my checking account that direct tv just felt they were entitled to... call up direct tv, and they tell me that they never recieved their recievers... even tho i had a tracking number on the shipment with delivery confirmation....

so now i'm just out 800 bucks, till my bank finishes a fraudulant charge investigation... fucking great times!!!

anyone else have something like this happen to them?

thats fuckin crazy bro. i'd be on the phone up there asses so bad. how long has it been since you shipped them back the recievers?

the tracking number i have shows delivery confirmation about 2 weeks ago.... so, i'm sure my bank will find it fraudulant, and refund the money... but that can take up to 2 weeks... fml

they did try doing that to me on a bad reciever i had sent back. they had it and somehow never got checked in. argued with them for a couple days and then they fixed it and credited me back within a couple days.

He has tracking #'s and delivery confirmation.....so he has proof that they received them.

I had Comcast about 2 years ago when I first moved into my apartment. I cancelled. I wasnt on contract or anything and I paid my final bill over the phone with one of their reps with my debit card. A month later I get a late notice. I called them up told them I paid and they said disregard it. 2nd month rolls around and I get a court order for check fraud classes and fees to take the class as well as pay Comcast their final bill that I already paid. The ***** transposed numbers and the card number got denied. They tried to make me pay to go to fraudulent check classes, pay a $25 fee for bouncing a check, and pay the final bill. When I was done with them I never had to pay my final bill or had to take classes.

thats crazy i had something similiar with them when i switched to comcast from directv, directv kept saying they were going to come pick up the dish/boxes but kept never showing up i ended up driving the **** to them and hand delivering it cause they took money out of my acct.
