I wanna buy this system how is it?
I love it.... LOVE it. I went through all three teirs of Logitech's computer speakers. (x-530, Z-5300, and now Z-5500)
I actually am back to the Z-5300 because a certain brother destroyed the apparatus that controls it... or something. I went away, came back and it was GONE. So, in a huff I took my Z-5300s back from him. A definite step down... seeing how the Z-5500 gives an extra... IIRC, like 20 or 25 RMS to the speakers and the same plus to the sub. But they're hardcore speakers. Could easily have a house party based off of it.
I wasn't able to enjoy my Z-5500 that much... but with my Z-5300 and the sub in the closet, with the port facing the wall, it shakes the whole house on light songs... it sucks. All of my low frequencies are set to -6-12 DBs or something of the sort. I couldn't stay too mad at him for it. He bought it for me as a present for my birthday (I built a bunch of furniture for him, so he owed me)... besides, it just got me in trouble.
Cliff notes:
* I had all three 5.1 systems for Logitech
* Didn't have the Z-5500 too long
* The Z-5300 is more than enough power to throw a house party around
* Even with the modest power of the Z-5300, I have to set the low end frequencies -6-12 Dbs.
* Don't get if you have a roommate who complains about bass or if you live in an apartment.
EDIT:: Sorry to thread-jack, dude! ****. I'd definitely buy that Logitech sub if I had the money. I can barely afford gas //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
If you have it in a few weeks, I'll take it off your hands //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
