Extra mounting holes in the subwoofer basket

Anyone ever drill 4 or 8 extra holes in the basket for more mounting holes? Dealing with 60-80lb subs ive seen screws that have snapped using just the 8 mounting holes. My box will have a double baffle, but the subs will be flush mounted so technically they are actually screwed into a single baffle.

Im thinking about drilling a hole inbetween each of the 8 mounting holes already there and using more screws to hold the sub down.

bad idea? not worth it?

triple baffle flush mount?
im actually trying to get them double flush mounted lol... so they are completely flush including the surround.

so yes, i will have a triple baffle, but they will still only be mounted on the last single baffle. unless i quadruple baffle lol //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

dont want to do that, ill lose a lot of air space

now i think about it, im going to have a 1/2" cover plate/panel over the wall, so the 3/4" flush baffle and 1/2" beauty panel together should be enough to be completely flush. ill have to measure the subs when i get home, but the surrounds dont look like they stick up that much above the basket on the DP's

use bolts instead of screws, and remember that the bottom screws/bolts are taking the majority of the strain.
whats the best way to access the nuts on the bolts on the inside of the box? i probably wont be able to reach in the port to get access to them. never used bolts before

ill probably pass on the T nuts, dont want a gaping hole if something happens to it. i may just drill 2 extra holes in between the bottom 3 stock mounting holes to provide extra support. like someone said above, thats where the most stress will be with the weight trying to push out on the screws

what are some heavier duty screws out there? ill pre-drill the holes

just to note. theres really no point for having a triple baffle, if the woofer is only screwed into one board.
yeah i realize that, only reason i was going to do that was to have the woofer completely flush, not just the mounting ring. 0.75" is not going to make the whole surround and everything flush. i want to be able to rest my seats up against the box without hitting the surround
