extra 5.25

I bought the alpine type r 5.25 componet set a long time ago and they layed around uninstalled for about 6 months. I built door pods for my cutlass so I put them in there. I am reading that the type r has a lack of midbass. I looked at sounddomain and they have these image dynamics 5.25 midbass that would work. Would this help much?

I have the diamond audio 3.400...which is 37.5w @ 4 ohms, 70 @ 2 ohms. Is it okay to run the componets at 4 ohms and get the 2 ohm mid?

I have about $200 to spend.

I don't think you can get much bass out of a 5 1/4. Why can't you make the pod bigger and put a 6 1/2 in there. Or get really modified and go with an 8. To do that you may need to upgrade the amp as well.
