External hard drive ?

I just bought a Seagate 80 gb external hard drive.

It does not auto shut off, do i need to turn it off whenever im not using it, or is it ok just to sit there?

I do not know much about them so i dont want to f it up.

Yeah its alright to let it sit there, its just like leaving your regular computer on all the time with the harddrive doing something.

yea its good to let it run, just turn it off every now and then for a few minutes. nothing big.
