It'd be useful to everyone else to post it here too. What I wouldda said is that the ouput voltage of an alternator is fixed by the internal regulator and can't be adjusted. If the one you have is in fact adjustable, I'd certainly like to know for future reference.

i'll try to explain it. mean-green alts are regulated by what the factory computer says it should put out volt wise. there 2 screws on the back of the alt that you run a wire from each terminal to the positive and negative on your battery. i haven't done it yet because it rained and i'm deathly affraid of electricity after i got zapped pretty good one time.

Well, you need to take out a DMM and check which lead is the +12v and which is the -12v...and connect a small lead from the pos/neg on your battery to their. Tech guy was stating that the alternator only charges when told to charge by the stock computer...he said this input voltage in the rear should boost the output noticeably.
