Extended cab s-10 Audioque build

Personally, I would upgrade electrical and run it at 0.5. You could always buy another AQ amp and run one on each coil @ 1 ohm.

Anyone ever wired a single Audioque HDC3 15 to a AQ1200 using 1/2 ohm? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif Any opinions or personal experiences? I would really like to keep this sub if its possible.

I am getting a performance alternator very soon, what amperage should I get to run this system? Also I did the big 3 already. My battery is about 4 months old, it is not a performance battery but I think it will do the job.

Thanks for the input brah.

Okay, I am going to get a performance alternator, upgrade to 0g wire, and get a performance battery. Should I get a D2 sub? Or should I just run this D1 @ 0.5 ohms? From what I have looked at stinger batteries, and alternators are the way to go. I really don't have any room for a second battery so I am trying to get one single ballin *** battery. I am confused on what kind of alternator to get. How many amps? I know get the best one I can, but I am running one HDC3 15 2000 watts off of a AQ1200 amp. Would like a 160 amp work? And I was thinking or an optima yellow top battery? I am a super noob at this, this will be my first alternator/battery upgrade ever so any advice on what to do is appreciated.

What's the size of your stock alt? Can't be too low in a truck. Honestly, I don't think running the 1200D at 1/2ohm is going to cause you any issues so long as you have an extra batt close to the amp. Now if you plan on upgrading to substantially more power, then a HO alt or dual stock alts would be the way to go.

I have a stock 100 amp alt, with a Autocraft gold 75-3 battery. There really is not room for a 2nd batt, but I understand if I have to I'll find room somehow. Here are the specs on my current battery.

Group Size: 75

Voltage: 12

Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) @ 0°F: 700

Cranking Amps @ 32°F: 875

Reserve Capacity (minutes): 100

Terminal Type: Side Terminal

The previous owner of my truck also had a sound system so when I bought it, soon after my old alt and battery went out. These were just replaced like 4 months ago. If anything I should grab a 150 amp alt? Thanks again for all your help, I hope to see this system up and bumping soon.

I wouldnt go with a low tune with the aqs. They do better with higher tuning, but still have no issues with the lows. 35 would be the lowest I would go, but closer to 40 would be better. 37-38ish seems to be a great daily choice for them.

The box is already built at a 34hz tune brahh.

Hmmm I decided to run it at 0.5 ohms. What connectors do you guys use to go from your wires to the terminal cup? I am going to solder, and use wire wraps, but what connectors should I use? Spades rings, or knives?

Don't wire to 0.5 without upgrading your electrical first //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
this!

i would get something big upfront and matching for the back (batts) before doing .5 on an aq amp. 2 runs of 1/0 (pos/neg)
