Just wanted some info on how the facing of sub boxes sound up, down, sideways? I'm wanting to build my box this week and i already know it will be a slot ported box for a 12" armegeddon with 700watts to it. So I'd like to have the box facing up . Does anyone know how this will sound compared to facing it down, which I've done in my last truck............or any recomendations

O actually liked the sound of mine facing 1/2 way between up and back so you are kinda rear firing. Sounded best that way. That was with 2 12 w7's. So I vote 45 deg angle twards the rear.

Mine fires forward. it's okay sounding, but i'm not a bass head and it's easier to tether to the truck that way. I tried up wards and it was worse. I've never tried the diagonal up and back idea

Heard down in my friends truck didnt like it at all. I liked firing forward and up like on an angle.

I have mine firing straight into the back rest right now and it sounds pretty good.

I've had it firing at the 45 up and back and that also sounded good. maybe even a little louder than straight back.

I tried all different directions and that will be your best bet. Same concept as rearfiring any other system in any other car. It just counds better and gets louder.

i've got mine facing up w/ the port firing to the pass. side. it sounds good.

i haven't tried the 45 and back though, seems like a good idea

I fire my 18"sx forward, port up. I dont think it can get much louder.

build a wall and put the subs on pass. side and port on drivers side just like a dbdrag setup that will give you a "strong side" and will hit hard....

mine fire up. even with the seats folded over them it sounds good and has enough wang to jiggle the rearview mirror.

I like my sub facing up!!! Here are some pics. No useful space in the cab though.
