Going to use this thread to dump information and pictures for @CSCStang to reference while I'm working on getting a new enclosure design figured out.

I want to run a single hds315 for a while and see how I like it, if anyone is wondering what this is for.

I received some initial measurements from him and it look like it'll fit just right.

should be able to fit 15 or 16 in depth away from the ****** hump, i think we were planning on 15.

depth two might need to be a little shorter, say 13 inches

this is the depth for the hump in case you need these measurements

and finally width. i think 17.5 would be just fine, we could go out to 19 or 20 if necessary.

yep, whole bottom of it was removed and metal brackets were made to secure the back of the seat to the cab. the top of the seat has two hooks that hold it in on these trucks as well.

box should be 5 cubes net at 35hz, still deciding on the height vs depth. id like to keep the rear height low but the front height needs to be at least 17.5 for the 15 to fit, it'll probably just end up being tapered.

Dude my 2" seat lift will still lift that back seat rest up and allow for a larger enclosure and keep your seat height looking right

Nvm lol create your own back rest lift

yeah id get yours if i had the whole seat still, but just to extend the hook an inch or two shouldn't be too difficult. unfortunately i cant do much metal or woodwork seeing that i'm in an apartment but i should be able to get it to work

Yeah it's a full size, I think the cab is a little bigger anyway. I say silvy like a weirdo because it was too long to fit in the title as silverado lol

I just ripped out the entire seat and did a little over 8 cubes for 4 xfl 12s..subs up ports up..seperate chambers tuned to 32 ea..Gots it all ripped out and working on a wall atm..I did raise the rear seat up 3" and still had room for a 6'2 brother to sit comfortably in the back seat and had room for 2 -1k rms tens firing forward/ported underneath that did quite well.98 xcab silvy..You deff have some room for a pair of 12s..I think

just saw this, woops. those 4 xfl 12s should be nasty lol. get me some pics if you dont mind, i really like seeing ext cab builds.

also the hds315 got here today, here it is next to one of the kicker cvt 12s its replacing lol. stiff as hell, definitely gonna need some break in. has some nice options, stitched surround and leads, pressed cone, good size spider, and good cooling as far as i can tell - not bad for less than $200.

I did have a bunch of pics on another laptop that crashed on me.No longer have them.It was more of a temp setup to test amps and the subs out..Nothing special.Pretty generic..no back seat, one long box with slotted ports for ea. 12.But, Id have to say, she got down pretty decent..LOL..Working on a wall for next years Austin Heat Wave to get my metering done and then place back to the long box behind the seat to more of where it was for SQL so to speak. Those HDS310s I have in the Honda took approx a month to really loosen up and they slamm pretty good in 4.0@32 htz for my daily on approx 14-1500 rms.I cant put much more on them due to rippling my roof(not deadened or preped) afraid Ill crease the hell out of it.Really been some great subs, a little bit cleaner in that box than the xfl 10s I have.XFLs get nasty @Dmac1991 can tell you how she did and I hadnt tuned at the time in my truck..lol..We will see how it goes with some breathing room this time around

I agree! Will's truck was nasty. First legit "loud" system I heard compared to my weak lil Audio Technix 12 I had.

Man that truck was nasty. Had my girlfriend dissing my system all the way home. Dreams. It was bad haha

my roof is peeling like hell, i got one of the trucks that didnt get the roof properly clear coated apparently because it looks like ****. so with that being said roof flex is fine by me haha im really looking forward to seeing how this sounds. ive never had a "real" sub stage so this should definitely be a big difference. the port for the box in the pic is 3 inchs lmao so the 8 inch port for the 15 is telling me the output im going to get is a lot more.

ill probably just monitor the sub and when it gets stinky turn it down, the taramps will definitely give the 3 inch coil a run for the money so it'll be interesting to see how it holds up. even if it burns up i really dont care because its cheap but ill try to keep it happy. the kicker CVTs have been getting abused, i like to get the coils stinky at least once a day with some soft clipping lol

definitely keep me updated as you move along with it, pictures are like porn ya know

still waiting to finalize everything, hit up stang a couple days ago about an octo and to get the box specs he hooked me up with (my dumbass lost them lol) but i havent heard anything back..

my buddy who has a shop is dragging ass and ive tried hitting them up multiple times including voicemails, and apparently they dont want my money now so im gonna hit up another guy in my city and see if he can build me a box. quoted me 200 so we'll see what happens when i meet up with him next week
