OK budget is sorta low, goin to try to find subs+amp for around $400. Used of course. I will be doing Big 3, and an Optima Yellowtop. I want to get as loud as I can, with that budget, and still have a safe elctrical system. What would you suggest? Box can take up whole ext cab, just gotta be able to sit comfy still up front!

well after the yellow top and big 3, that' puts your budget somewhere in the 250 range //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

unless you're not counting your budget..

i'd do a single 15 inch sub, like an older L7, Type R, RE SX, or something of the sort, that'll run you ~ 200 dollars

Or if you wanted you could do 2 15" Comp VR's, those will run you in the 250 shipped range on Egay for the pair.

the i'd do some kind of ~1200 watt amp, like an orion 1200d, or a directed 1100d, both can be had for under 200 dollars

But that's just what i would do, and im sure ill get flamed for suggesting a Type R.

but then you'd need a box and that's not cheap if you buy from someone. I'd go with something more like 2 12" comp vr's in kickers box(believe they can be had for well under 200$) with 3-400watts on each. thats what i have in my regal and it's pretty loud, would be MUCH louder in a s10. i got my MTX amp from this install for sale but honestly you could find somehting cheaper then 640watts for 150$. you could do this install (sub/amp) for under 400.

Big 3 and battery wasnt in budget, neither is box. I can build the box. $400 is the budget for JUST amp and subs. Your suggestions were exactly what I was thinking. 2 CVR 12s or 15s, 1 15" L7, or Type Rs. Unless I can find a good RE 12" some IA 187 12's.

there is no such thing as a DP 187... lol Incriminator Audio 187. Thier Li's are also very good woofers.

Depending on how hard you want to work at it, you can fig upwards of 5-5.5 cubes (total space, not usable, I had 4 cubes usable in mine) pretty easily in an ext cab S-10 with the seats still all the way back or one click from it. Be pretty darn easy to fit that kinda enclosure in an S-10 if you do some fiberglassing.

I dont plan on doing any glass work, just plan on making a simple enclousure. Shouldnt be a problem gettin 3.5-4 out of it. Should be plenty for what I plan on running. 1 18" Would be hella nice what kinda 18 could I afford?

i have an ext cab s-10 with a box like this

i like it.

my sub + Amp combo was $525

I'd reccomend picking up a 15 such as an SX or L7 or w/e. Multiple drivers take more power to reach full potential, power = more money.

If you want to go loud on a budget, track down a TC9, recone it to a 15. Death Penulty soft parts fit the TC9. If you dont think you can do it find someone who will do it for a small fee. you can usually find a TC9 for around $100. 15" basket would be like $25 and DP recone kits are $85 + Shipping. $250 tops. It's what im doing for my SPL set up.

Find a used BX1500 or BX1205D for power for $150-$160
