Experiences with unauthorized dealers...

I found this place (http://www.atlantaelectronics.com) that has the amps I am looking for at really low prices. Now, I read at the bottom of their page, "Atlanta Electronics is NOT AFFILIATED with any company listed on this website. We are NOT AUTHORIZED DEALERS nor do we claim to be." They do offer a one year defects warranty, but not the manufacturer one. My question is has anyone had bad experiences with places like these when purchasing new equipment?

I've had no problems with several unauthorized dealers. They tend to be cheaper, and ship faster with fewer orders.

yea, no probs here either after many a deal, but then again, the potential to get screwed is really there, at some places more than others...this site you listed looks extremly amateur to say the least. just be cautious and see if you can find out any info about em.

I used to buy all of my stuff from a local authorized dealer, then I started looking around. I could get the same exact thing on the internet for around half or sometimes less than what the dealer quoted me. I figured it was worth it to me to take a chance. Even if it did break down I could buy a second one for the price of just one from the dealer. That's just me and I'm poor =P If you're well off and a couple hundred dollars doesn't matter a whole lot to you go with the dealer. You get the warranty and if you ever have any problems it's really easy to just stop by and get it replaced or fixed for free.

It's really a matter of if the money saved is worth the potential risk to you. So far I haven't had any problems at all with my unauthorized stuff so I'm going to keep buying it until I do run into some problems =)
