Experience with power hx2

Ok so im getting a 15 power hx2 from bumpin150s and i've already talked to him a bit about what to power it and box's and stuff, I was just curious if anyone else here has had expeirence with em and what they could tell me about em. Like what there true rms is, and none well i sent 2k rms but watched gains, i mean whats the max unclipped signal they can take before thermal failure. Also what size of boxes they like, both sealed and ported, i think im going to seal first while i get everything figured out. Thanks alot. P.s. amp recomendations welcome still havent baught one for it.

people who never tried older rockford liek to say that, but a friend had a 12 power hx2 and i instaled a he2 in another car and if done right that have decent sq, im not going to say supurb but ive the kids 12 sounded better than any L7 i've heard

Not fart cannons. That was derived by the countless improper installs rolling around. Chit I could make my XXX a fart cannon if I wanted to. Others don't have to try.

Stick with the RMS 1000 watts. Any other power questions are box dependent.

i was just curious because theres vids of people sending 1500 but i dont know how long they do that and what gains were set.

i had two 12 power hx2's in a sealed box in the back of a s10 and they hit extreamly hard and they didnt sound to bad eaither the rms is 1000 they can probly handle a lil more i powered them with a power 1501d amp with the gain more than halfway up but not all the way

rockfords site says like 2.5cubic feet sealled for a punch 15 hx2 but then it only says 1.5 for a 15 power hx2. Is that right, i was thinking of just making a 2 cubic foot sealled for my hx2, sound ok?

Click my sig to check out my install. I'm running 2 Power HX2 15's in a 9 cube ported box to 33 hz. Only people who have never heard RFs installed the right way like to say they sound like crap. I power them daily with a 1501bd @ 2 ohms and compete with a 1501bd strapped to each @ 1 ohm. You will not unleash the power of these beasts until you power them correctly.

graphs look similar, barley any differences.

3.5cF seems to have the edge in a flatter response though, also RF recc. 3.5cF 33 Hz anyways.

well im looking at doing a 1.5 sealled to start with, then making a 4 cf box with a port of 60 square inches tuned to around 42 ish then a port plug with will take it down to 34 sq inches of port tuned to 33ish
