Lol, may be but their driver are sweet as h3ll. Adire XBL2 tech, great SQ and efficiency for the money. Maelstroms are high displacement woofers, hard to incorporate into a car environment effectively making full use of their abilities. Most need moderate to large enclosures, especially the mael's. The Shiva's or tempests would be more mobile audio worthy unless your in a large vehicle.

Lol I'd still rather have a well engineered driver from china vs another standard driver using off the shelf parts and 40 year old technology.... Build quality on all the exodus equipment is good. I dont' hear of many if any defects and T/S have been very close by those who have measured them.

Not sure what you guys are getting at here; I don't believe the technology or quality is in question. I know of two companies in China who are licensed to build XBL2 products, perhaps there is more. OP, you may want to ask Exodus and CSS which companies they deal with, but they may not be comfortable with releasing that information.

So the motor is somewhat related to adire motors with XBL^2? Reason is, I have a XBL^2 motor built by adire that looks slightly like Maelstrom and a 04 RE XXX motor that I can't decide between for home audio. Either will be reconed to 18 or 21, depending what's available and the other will be reconed to a 15 for my car. Might be a tough choice.

Adire's Brahma Extreme was basically/exactly the same as an 03-05 re xxx, so if it looks exactly like a xxx (minus chrome), its a B.E.
