What can you do to create more excursion for your subwoofer?

is it the different type of enclosure?

is it the power put into it by the amp?

cause i saw a video of bostons 10's having a load of excursion more than my 12's do and i was wondering how i can get my 12's to flex like these bad boys.

Wire your amp to 16 ohms if you haven't yet.

Excursion can be calculated by; watts/ohms x pi x woofer diameter

Take it out of the enclosure, play 10-20Hz tones...

Wire your amp to 16 ohms if you haven't yet.

I was gonna wire my Zapco 9.0 at 12 ohms in all honesty, it still would have been too much power for my oldschool 15w6 probably.

The excursion for your woofers is based on the woofers mechanical abilities. They are not all the same... if you want to create the most excursion, just take them out of all enclosures... but higher excursion does not = loudness...
