my EA does good at idle in park //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif but at a light it'll drop (i never measured it) but i touch the gas it jumps up where it should be. i had it tested at AZ on the machine deal and it put out around 250a and it's a "200a"

i had a 300a ea alt would stay around 12.1 at idle then as soon as i would hit the gas it would spike to 16v and clip my amps search my username on youtube i have a vid of it on there

All through that youtube video, you mistate the voltage over and over again. When it reaches 12.99 you say it is at 12v. That is 13v range. Then when it hit 14.09 you say that is near 15v, but that is only really 14v. At no point did that meter show over 14.3v. So what is happening there is that your alt is not making any power at idle and only turns on over a certain RPM, which is normal for HO alts. You never showed 12.1v or the 16v which you stated above. False Loopkiller, 3:03, if you watch it closely, it hits exactly 14.92volts, which, generally speaking, is close to 15v. Also, 3:33, I see 14.85v, 4:02, I see 14.97v, and 5:02, I see 14.67v.

From what I could see he was pretty spot on with the voltage, even more than I was (although watching it as a video doesn't help), so much that when he calls out the upper 14v numbers, you have to pause and watch frame by frame till you get to it, but it is there.

Ive run three alts from EA, never had one issue they all put out tons of power and lasted as long as I had the vehicles.

yes i did state the 12.1 wrong its been a while since i had that alt but hell 12.6 and 12.1 at far apart with the **** truck running ... i dont care what people say that HO alts shouldnt do voltage at idle thats a buch of crap a alt should do what voltage ur car is suppost to do from the factory he said that it was a regulator recall on my alt but my buddy that had a EA alt did the same thing... my argument was why wasnt it caught in testing before it was shipped and why did he try to send me a smaller pully if he knew the regulator was bad ?
