ive tryed to research but nothing really stands out.

Pioneer makes some nice ones for the Japnese market. Or try eclipse, their higher end are pretty nice also. I've also heard good things about the Alpine 9887

As far as flexibility and the ability to run active, especially if you have a budget, you can't go wrong with the 880prs.

The new 800 PRS looks really nice. Should have all the same good features as the 880, and a few new ones

880, 800 or 9887. all good choices. i chose the 880 and do not regret it one bit.

I just got the 800 PRS and have to return it because of ground noise due to what appears to be a blown PICO fuse. Aparently a common issue with Pioneers.

If you're not to worried about running active the Kenwood X991 is a great HU...beats the crap out of the Pioneer p780-MP I had.
