Exactly how much power can a BTL take daily?

Ive owned both BTL's and Nightshades.

I ran them on my D9 amp @1ohm daily.

I was giving the BTL's and Nightshades about 2500w each. They both handle the power well. I can beat on them all day long.

Sound wise they pretty much metered the same but my Nightshades got alot lower and sounded alot cleaner.

the question was "EAXCTLY how much can a BTL take daily?"

the answer is: 8296743w RMS give to take a few million

Ever consider building your own? recones are fun... My SPL15/TeamPSI took my 4Kw @ 1ohm like a champ for a couple weeks, did great on the 2000D for a week or so and for teh last couple weeks has been just fine on the 6500D @ 1ohm... Also got 2nd and 3rd place at the comp here a couple weeks ago...

i guess i hadn't thought about that....

what im concerned with is: "is it in my budget" and "does anyone currently have a dece motor and basket for sale"

i know my hdc318 can handle 2000wrms all day..and get pretty loud while doing it....but my next sub will prolly be a btl or nightshade just so i can build a box around 30-32hz and get stupid low....dont get me wrong the hdc gets pretty low even in about 37hz, but i would like to get a little lower

now i suppose would be the time to bring up.......would i be better off with something else in that budget area?

for example 2 hdc3s instead of one nightshade?
the Hdc's are great subs for the price. DJ has great c/s and recones are cheap.

what type of music do you listen to?

i listen to EVERYTHING from old school Norwegian black metal to modern metalcore and death metal to death cab and the postal service to NIN, all the way to gwen stefani or johnny cash.

ive pretty much decided on a custom nightshade though

I had two of the Xtreme 12's and they were dual 4ohm. They read at like 3.5ohm per voice coil which is common.
