I have owned two evos and loved both...that being said id buy an evo...but you cant go wrong with either....just look for a low milage, ADULT OWNED car with all service records...the evo is the better handling car and has a better feel of the two, they both have marginal transmissions at best, the evo being slightly better...and if your into performance the evo responds much better to mods....be prepared for stupid service costs on both cars and if you get one that is under 30k miles account the 600 dollar 30k maintencen into the price of the car, as well as a clutch(if it hasnt been done) and possibly a ****** rebuild/build)....ironically I find my 87 mr2 a much better feeling and overall funner car then either of the two....dont let that fool you though as the mr2 isnt stock, although it isnt heavely modded.....and also the evo and sti are no slouches handling wie...also if going with the evo go for the 05 as you get the larger hot side and acd....
