I drove both and perfer the EVO for a daily, seems smoother IMO. STi is badass too tho.

either one last longer than the other?

its alabama so no snow, not too much for AWD i need, is one system better than the other?

ive also thought about going regular wrx and putting some stuff on it, body kit and other stuff

Ive driven both and worked on both.

EVO hands down

Have you ever priced out performance parts for a STI? Modding a STI is SUBSTANTIALLY more costly then a Evo, as are the repair bills

Also the evo has a less flakey AWD system that i feel is more reliable / better, not to mention it handles alot better stock for stock, but just from a modding standpoint, the STI is costly compared to EVO, that alone would get me a Evo over the STI, along with the other points

EVO for sure. I owned one for about 2 years, and I loved every minute of it. On the stock turbo mine made 365 whp and 397 wtq. It was very easy to modify and never gave me a single problem for the 70k miles I owned it.

STI has a nicer interior, engine responds great to mods, little bit more roomy too. For my money between the two, i'd go with the STI.

I would never buy an AWD car if i didn't have a great reason to (unless it had a system like the R8's or S4's which simulate RWD dynamics), Rwd cars are just better, especially on the track.

You could get a GTO for that money and have it pushing 400hp on the cheap.
