Everyones Input Wanted!!

You'll also want to carry any brands that take home the big awards. Like, when person X takes home an SQ trophy with brand X's highest speakers, you can probably sell off a few of Brand X's low/mid speakers because we all had that "if HE did it, I will too if I have the same equipment" phase. In the same way, near the REs a poster showing Tottie doing 168.x with MTs wouldn't hurt sales any.

6spdcoupe,

I'm interested in moving to Rainbow Plats "non active" version later this year. I'm in the Pocono's in PA I'm going to have to hookup with you. To me Rainbow is name I've known for sometime and that Company is very highly regarded as one of the BEST speaker producers in the world. By chance what are you able to get the Rainbow Plats as for as price? I was thinking the crossover version was around $2200 last I checked with Alumapro. I'm able to order direct through Alumapro but would rather go the dealer route to save a few bucks.

Theyde be a bunch less than that, but Ill confirm closer to when ya need/want em.

BTW.. You do know you cant order from Alumapro anymore right?

I am about to open up a store in NJ and we are trying to figure out what brandseveryone is looking for. Let me know what your looking for from inexpensive to high end.

I would definitely recommend MTX for a store. It has everything someone would want, from the low end (what is it the 4500 or 5500 series) all the way up to their bad boy 9500. Its a really solid brand to carry. plus they offer the 3 year warranty on some of their products..

Alpine is always nice to...its a really well known brand by almost everybody, but ive heard it is hard to get them to sell to you because, well, they are alpine.

As far as high end goes....i dunno if you want to carry brands like RE or Adire. Not many people that arent "INTO" car audio know about them...Id go with something more familiar with the general public like ECLIPSE or Image Dynamics, maybe memphis, Arc. Stuff like that.

GOOD LUCK MAN!

Really? I spoke to a woman at Alumarpo saying I could direct order from them. In fact she sent me a price sheet... Did something change?

Let me know when you get yours installed and what your impression of them are? The crossovers look sick!!

You spoke to Diane, but how long ago was this? They no longer distirbute for Rainbow. So it would only be whats left on hand.

You know I have the active set, not the passive so no crossovers...

Whoa! Who distributes now? I thought at one time it was Arc Audio then Alumapro picked them up... Interesting...

Active, that must be why its cheaper.... I know the crossover set was pretty expensive last I checked...

****, oh well planned to get from dealer anyway such as yourself since your close. I did notice Alumapro still advertises as the distributor on the website. I wonder if its worth a try to get what they have left over as a bargain?

The hardly anything leftover thats worth getting. They also arent going to offer any discounts, since Rainbow will buy back their products.

Go to elite car audio's forum and look for some of Audionutz (Steve Head's) posts. If you have bait nobody knows about, you aren't going to catch any fish. He has a series of posts that goes into his experience opening a store.
