Do you think the current insurance companies are any better than the government? are you really that naive? A low-cost government option would FORCE competition, driving down health care costs.
Are you worried about the regulations introduced? You do realize that regulation is good, right? Did you ever learn anything at school? Any idea of what the meat we consumed prior to the meat inspection act (ever heard of that?) went through?

Don't like that we're forcing American's to have health insurance? You realize that we're paying for all the people without health insurance yet are guaranteed health care, again driving costs up?

if you'll look back, i prefaced this by assuming correctly that liberals start from an intellectually dishonest position. i did not say that insurance companies are inherently good. so why would you want our corrupt government to start an insurance company to join in the other corrupt corporations dealings? i guess this whole argument comes down to whether you don't trust the government, or have total faith in it. it's funny how the liberals turned out to be no better than the bush-bots were.

No, you are like most who agree with the bill. Let me make it simple for you.

PROBLEMS WITH HEALTH CARE BILL:

#1: Fined for not having health care.

#2: Government control will give some doctors reasons to change their degree quickly because of regulations.

#3: Because of #2, we have less doctors and more people die due to not having the work force needed to monitor every runny nose that will now invade every ER and DR office. We already do not have enough DR's to support the small amount that do go to the Er and DR office.

#4: They will control life and death at certain ages and descriptions of your illness. If a doctor says you have 3 months to live, now you may not have the chance of 5 more years, more like 4 more days. got to cut cost somwhere, so tell your grandmother or mother good bye if she has cancer and over 70.

#5: I thought we had a government health care type system, OH SHIT we do; Medicaid/Medicare. How is that workin for us?

#6: Guess all the govt ran businesses like USPS going under as well as how shitty cash fo clunkers was ran isn't giving some of you dumbasses enough proof of how well this is going to work.

There are a few issues, so if you really think this is going to work, I am very sorry you think that way. I see a lot of deaths that should never have happen due to someone with a runny nose in front of them.
