Sold every one put ur 2 cents in on some subs

second a sealed box gives you better sound quality...

third a ported box is for most spl people like myself and spl means basically bass...

and bandpass is a sealed and ported box together....

your best bet would be to make more money and get somthing of quality that will last...no need to buy somthing cause its cheap and not last long then have to pay more money to replace it...if you look at it if you put the money you would have spent to replace it and the money you spent to buy it in the first place it will equal to somthing much better....

example you buy a jensen sub in a bandbass at walmart and it blows so you buy another sub to go back into the box....in the first place you could have had an alpine type-s in a sealed box...
i was wondering what u ment by the pressure with reck the sub? could u explain it a lil better? wouldnt the port holes stop that from happening?

thanks kurupt....I can hopefully help some more...

Here goes:

In a sealed box the subs pump out the pressure through to front as they hit they disperse air...

Ported the subs pump pressure through the ports....

Bandpass the subs pump pressure into the cab of the front which is totally sealed off with no excape....

Out of the 3 do you see now?

Ports basically enhance bass and cut down somewhat on sound quality..

ok dude bottom line for you to get a good sound decent cheap....since you dont have a sealed box and what not then here you go dude.....

you could get a cheap audiobahn 10, but you will not have any sound quality and all bass...along with other low end products.

So your best bet is this:

For a box get this Raptor RAP101DW 44$ shipped from ikesound.com its sealed box.

For a sub its tough, but for you as a newbie you could get this Kicker Comp C10 for 55$ shipped from ikesound.com

unless your willing to spend a little more and pick up this Infinity Reference 1032w for 65$ shipped from ikesound.com

last this Alpine SWS-1041D for 80$ shipped from ikesound.com

all will work well in that box and all with give you decent sq I would probably say the infinity would give you the best sound quality, but the alpine would give you more bass....without spending much I dont think you can find a quality woofer that will preform good on both ends... If you want though you can pick up a pioneer sub even cheaper, but you wont be getting your money;s worth.....so the bottom line is this:

109$ you can have a 10inch sealed sub box and a infinity ref sub and you will be very satisfied....but remember your amp and hu play a big role in your system also....the hu sends the signal...so if you dont have a good hu your not getting a good signal...the amp if not of quality you will not get GOOD clean watts to your sub which can result in a number of things...for example sound quality loss and clipping signals...
