It's a co-axial driver. Midwoofer with a horn in the middle of it. Used mainly in pro and home audio. Using that type of horn in a car wouldn't be the greatest, IMO, unless you were solely going for output and not imaging/soundstaging.

Adire sells home audio kits with the same type drivers, for example. The HE10.1 & HE12.1 kits.

I actually thought about picking up the HE10.1 kit for shits and giggles.
