ever had your debit card # stolen?

Mine got stolen last April....Bank said people were somehow putting card readers in at the pumps at gas stations. I do not see how in the world that would work, but they said it has happened to several people. They tried buying plan tickets to Africa and $4,000 worth of furniture. Fortunately, nothing went through.

it happened to me about 3 weeks ago, got onto my online banking and noticed several $1 charges to napster and itunes, i IMMEDIATELY called my bank and cancelled the transactions and card before anything else could go through. i wonder if all of us have a connection to a certain place, like paypal, a certain gas station brand, etc that we could determine where this is coming from

Its probably due to the huge Hartland Credit card breach. 94 million stolen credit cards. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif

Yes everyone is getting jacked!!

I just got my replacement credit/debit card yesterday from my bank, they quickly canceled when they saw fraudulant charges from napster.

crazy shit yo...

My suggestion to everyone reading this thread. "CANCEL YOUR CREDIT/DEBIT CARDS and request replacements from your bank". Even if you don't use it online just to be safe.

I had the $1 charge to napster problem 2 weeks ago. I had placed an order for an amp. The merchant emailed me later saying my card was declined. I called the credit card company and they told me there was fraud suspected, so they read off everywhere I had used the card. It was all correct until they said (with indian accent) "napster for one dollar"? So they cancelled my card and ordered me a new one. Pain in the ***. The one dollar napster thing must be the prelude to a bigger scam.

my bank refunded over 900 bucks in about 3 hrs they did a **** good job of catching it and fixing it. im just going to go on a 2 month cycle of getting a new debit card. for 15 bucks a pop its worth the investment

i got a letter from my credit union last week saying my debit card could be "at risk"...and it went into details somewhat blah blah. as a security measure they are sending me a new card and watching my account for any suspicious activity. nothing has happen yet as far as any transactions though. very weird.

WORD, A BUNCH of banks and CC companies are doing this because of that big *** breach they had last month.

Hopefully everything works out. I know with all the cases I've read about they got all the money back. The one screw up Itunes had with me was the update. Everytime I hooked up my Ipod Touch it would try to update and fail and I didn't realize I was getting charged EACH time and I got a big *** amount taken from my paypal but Itunes customer serivce issued a full refund and a crap load of free songs that I'll never use.
Hand over the free songs please.....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

This literally happened to me not even a week ago. I tried to make a purchase at Borders and my card was declined. I went to check my balance and the entire inquiry was denied by my bank. I called them, forwarded to Visa Fraud and they said someone tried to buy a bunch of songs from Napster and other online merchandise.

Shit and I have been burning up my Debit card in the last couple weeks.

My bank is on point though and I have online banking, which keeps me updated, so I should be straight.

I did receive a phone call the other day about my purchases' and makes me feel safe........for now. Hope I don't have to go through this.
