ever fix your snowboard

I got a decent size gouge in my snowboard today. i saw online that you can buy filler and melt it into the bottom. anyone ever do it and how hard is it?

no its more of a plastic that you melt into it then shave it smooth. just wondering how hard it is. and im not sure how well fiberglassing the bottom of a snowboard would be? would be too stiff i would think

not a little scratch. its gashed all the way through to the core

its called ptex, i would know, ive been riding 12years and have pro friends.. and your board should be good, just put some in there, use a razor blade to scrap it flat and call it good

sounds good. now i gotta not hit the rails no one else is. there was a sharp kink in it.

just did this to my youngest son's board a few weeks ago. Ptex candles are what you use. I used a metal scraper once it hardened and had him wax and it came out fine.
