ever been in a car trunk for over an hr?

I was in the trunk running the wire through the wall of the trunk. Well there was snow on my trunk and me not thinging crawled all the way in the trunk and all i hear is clunk. The trunk shuts on me. So im like okay okay this is okay some one will come get me. My 6x9s are playing incredible loud so i manage to fumble around and gte them unplugged. Now i can think hmm what can i do about this situaion i am in. I bang on the trunk and get no responce from any body else. Im in our garage and my parents were sleeping. So they dindt even know what was going on at the time. First things first i get my lighter out and start looking around. I just got done taking all my tools out of the trunk so i could get in the trunk. All i had was a butterfly knife a bic lighter a car jack and hacksaw. So first i get the jack out. Jack up 1 side of the trunk and it only raises the lid like qtr of an inch. thats as high as it would go. so now i have a tiny bit of light. As im lighting my lighter i have no lite becasue the flame keeps going out because i guess it is not getting full enough oxygen. Then i take the handle that goes on the factory car jack and pryin at the latch of the trunk. I get no where. Then i take my butterfly knife and try to do the lacthe again. It dos not move i was very surpised. So i find a hacsaw that was like hiddin in my trunk because it is dear season ya know and if i see a buck on the side of the road its antlers are mine . lol but anywayS. I saw the little loop that the trnk latches to. I get threw out i am thrilled. Then i start getting the jack piece thats like a crowbar that screws the jack up and down. prying at this metal loop and finally my trunk comes open. Come to find out i was in there for over an hour. just wanted to share with you all . Next time ill rember to put something so the trunk can shut on me

Yep the latch and the loop. I took both of them off to day so the trunk would shut and come to find out the automatic trunk opening thing where you push a button and your trunk opens. Well on the back of that theres a little switch all most where i could have pushed that and saved my self hr or work and being trapped ina **** trunk. Getting my r's thursday going to a junk yard to replace the parts. Cant have a no locking trunk and a system to get jacked living in flint. I think its the 8 ranked city with the most crime?

No need to fix it, once they find out they are type r's you shouldnt have any problems with them getting stolen

i think at one time my city was #1 or #2 for stolen cars. it sucks, but not as much as locking yourself in your own trunk. i had the door panel off of the cobra once when i was making the mount for the 7" mids, turned the car on to make sure everything was in phase before i put the door panel back on, well, went to go get the clips for the panel, door shut and i guess i locked the doors when putting the panel back on. so now my car is running, windows up, doors shut with them locked. the extra set was across town. luckely it was in my garage though.

^You normaly take the time to lock the doors that are open wile your working on a car? And none of that.. oh the doors automaticly lock when you start the car, becuase i know that isnt a feature in the cobras

i was workfin on it and accidentally locked the doors, the door shut and i was locked out with the car running.
