im lookin at glassing the rear deck (there are speakers there already) and everything will be removed. the deck has bracing under it which i was possibly thinking about taping up and glassing that for the air space. i just think placement MAY be an issue because it IS a fast back style carand the rear glass is somewhat layed forward. i think i can fit 4, but six would be pushin it. i have a nine.1 to run them, so i guess power is no real issue. any more ideas on how to do this? my only concern is that the headrest part if the seat shapes out on the deck, and i want to keep that in the final design.

It's being "bashed" based on OBJECTIVE evidence. I don't have to use it to observe test results. I didn't say anything about the sound, now did I? I simply implied it didn't meet "rated" specs.

Why would I bash every non-SI product? Did I ever say, "Every product out there that isn't made by SI is crap"? Nope, sure didn't. Hell, there are many products out there that I really enjoy...and, gosh, they're not made by SI!!

So because I'm a rep means that I no longer have an individual opinion? Yeahhh ok...

Who said anything about it *not* being able to move more than 7-8mm? I wasn't speaking about xmech, rather xmax...hopefully you can differentiate between the two?

Linear excursion = xmax...keyword being "linear"

That doesn't mean they are doing it linearly.....the important difference between Xmax figures and Xmech figures.

Any driver can excurt beyond it's Xmax......

And, FWIW, npdang also tested the Adire Extremis to only have an Xmax of 8mm compared to the rated 13mm.

Either it does, or it doesn't. No inbetween. He pointed out that independent measurements have shown that they don't.

i dont know if i willl do that setup or not, reason being....stolen property around here is a big deal. i dont need my shit getting stolen even when i never bump residential areas. the fact it can be seen is the thing pushin me away. my only other REAL option is 4 RE8's (or these Eu-700's) facing in cabin, from the trunk. this means my amp must be moved and all that though, which really...i dont think i want to have that done. im not installing myself, it will be a payed install, only because i don't want to break something on a 2005 vehicle.

so should i have 2 type r 12's installed cleanly, or figure a way to have these Eu-700's put in. hmmmm
