Hello, quick question,

Im getting ready to purchase an ESX Q120.4.

As per specs, Im gonna be running channels 1+2 to the front mids/highs which is 120x2 @4ohm stereo and bridging channels 3+4, 360x1 for my single 4 ohm Kicker s10c solobaric sub.

I was told these amps are underrated, so does that mean they will actually do more power? How much more ?

My kicker sub can handle 350watts rms in a 0.66 cu ft sealed box, and 450watts rms in a 0.60 cu ft box.

Should I build the smaller or bigger sub box ?

Heres the specs of my sub.

build the box that is better suited for your needs and adjust the amp accordingly. I say go with a ported box?
If you read the PDF I posted the older round Kicker solobarics are not suppose to be in a vented or ported box , only sealed !

i told you to pick a box suited for your needs based on your available space in your car, or whatever determining factors you want to throw in there. Then use a DMM to adjust the gain in your amp to what power level suited for that box space. I would tell you to use the bigger box so as not to turn your gain all the way up as that might cause distortion, especially since you don't know how much power that amp actually puts out. I'd guess around 400+

Now go fuck yourself
