I gave up on the NFL when Heisman Winner Charlie Ward wasn't drafted. He played for the Knicks instead but after 93, I pretty much gave up on the NFL.

Fosgate is still good. This is in the nfl context. Crouch could barely throw in college, no way in hell he could in the NFL. That's why often times college team put their best athlete at QB and let him go at it. And, an option QB that is in the NFL right now...oh, um, the #1 pick Alex Smith maybe? Point is...if you can throw the ball, you can play in the NFL. Kordell Stewart. The list goes on.

Can anyone here say Vince Young? Ran the option to PERFECTION in college. You can't put Collins as RE. Yeah he's overpaid, but he's no good. Put manning as RE. He's got the highest salary in the league, but he's **** good.

Not to mention we'll soon be saying Tim Tebow as an option QB in college and pass well in the pros.
I wouldn't consider Vince Young an option QB as much as a running QB. It is a very gray area.

Vince Young ALWAYS ran the option in college. There was always an outlet for him whether it was a running back or a reciever. All options don't have to end up in running plays. Vince was great with the run-pass option.

Vince Young didn't option much, especially after he lost Benson. Manning can't be RE because he isn't doing enough business, basically. How is Manning not JL? More business, more profit, less of a sell out...the list goes on. May I add that he's been around longer as well probably. How can you say Ryan Leaf is Adire? He's pure garbage. Nothing has ever come of him in the NFL. At least Adire made a classic sub. Ryan Leaf must then be, without a doubt, the worst form of car audio, ever.

Leaf did well as Washington State...you cannot deny that and many (including myself) felt he was better athelete in college than Manning.
