equalizer?

I am getting a kenwood kdc-x890 hu. Would i need a eq for my subs?

The hu has a eq built in i think

EQ's arent generally for subs...there used to equalize the entire sound of the music. There's only 2 frequencies on a basic 7band that would affect the sound of the subs. If thats all your putting in, no you dont need an EQ.
