EQ on amp

I have an MTX 311d and on it it says EQ 0 6 12 (bass boost) and it was at zero and my subs weren't hitting as hard so i turned it up to 12 and they hit harder than they ever have. So i was wondering if turning the EQ to 12 would it blow my subs and/or amp? I keep my bass at -2. Thanks, WickedClown

Bass boost is not a good idea... That is the easiest way to kill a sub. Set your gain PROPERLY, and see if the subs are loud enough for you, it not, it might be time to upgrade... But turning the bass boost all the way up will just clip the amp, and will kill the amp and or speakers pretty quickly.

Ok, thanks PhatTonyDeMarco, yeah it's time to upgrade for me, but i have no money for subs (already have a memphis 16-PB1KD so thats covered).

P.S. How much do you think I could get for 2 12" memphis pr-124d's?
