EQ and HU

Who here has an EQ along with there HU's?

yes. i use a clarion EQ. when i had a sub, used the 50hz and 120hz knob for my bass. and use the rest to tune my components still. i pretty much leave all my HU settings at 0. i may turn the mid up 1 and the treb up 1. but i use the EQ for everything else

I have been using an EQ for bass level control for years. I just set everything flat on the HU and tweak with the EQ.

I'm using the subwoofer control on the clarion eq and the remote bass gain that came with the hifonics 1606d. It seems like a lot of peope aren't even using anything to control their subs exept deck, i would never be able to live like this:crazy:

if your deck is not a pos then it comes with some pretty nifty tuning parameters. Granted it's nothing like having a standalone EQ, but it'll do the job

i have a Alpine 9835 and a Audiocontrol four.1.I hate trying to use the eq on the hu so i bought the external eq. I leave everything on the hu flat and use the eq for any tuning i need. Can't stand the eq in my deck
