ive got 240 wrms for a sub //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

120 wrms x 2 at 2 ohms... so im looking for a dual voice coil sub that can perform decent at 120 wrms going to each coil...any1 got anything in mind?

With a proper enclosure, it doesn't take thousands of watts to get loud. I put a 12W1V2 in my friends Blazer, in a 2cf box @ 34hz and it overpowers his music //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Edit: I enjoy the sound of the W3v3's. They're pretty tight. Although I've never heard one on 240w, I bet it would get loud enough.

tru tru

this will be going in the trunk of a 4 door car though....i know jeeps tend to get alot louder than cars...and i was aiming toward a sealed box....since i have never tried to make a ported box...

If you're going to hold off with that amp, you're going to fairly well need a ported enclosure, to be honest. Or at least if it were me, I'd do it

Kicker Comp VR, the 12w3v3's (although I dont think they're available in Dual 2ohm, you'd have to check) would both do fine with that power

Maybe look into a 13w1v2?

you dont need a dual voice coil woofer either //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

a jl w3 would fit that power nicely. or a single 12" Incriminator audio 187 (they get loud //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif)

The 12W3V2's are available in single 4 ohm, and he can just bridge his amp.

alright...well i guess it wont hurt to try the ported...any1 have enclosure specs for a kicker comp VR or a 12w3v3?

well its a four channel amp...two channels are 120 watts at 4 ohm to the comp set and ive got the other two channels which is 120 wrms at 4 ohm or a little more at 2ohm...so i wanted to just use the remaining 2 channels at ohm...thats why i wanted a dual voice coil sub.....dont know if i could bridge two channels and leave the others unbridged....

its a kicker kn 650.4 amp just so u kno
