Enough power to run 2-12" Alpine type X's?

x2.

~1000w is almost NECESSARY.

Really great subs, but they're thirsty little monsters.

I guess that's the price you pay to have make a sub that can stay completely transparent at insane volumes, unfortunately.

alright, well, keeping the amp with Alpine (or JL Audio), what would I need? Thanks in advance guys //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

2 jl 1000.1's
While the JL 1000/1 is definitely a capable amp I would suggest going with Alpine (assuming from the earlier post that those are the only brands the OP would really give serious consideration to) as their amps would be significantly cheaper //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif (such as maybe a pair of MRD-1005s, maybe?)
