Enough Power for an SX?

I have a 2channel amp that i can bridge to get 850 watts at 4 ohms.

Is this enough to power 1 12" RE SX?

But how do i manage getting the sx at 4 ohms?

you need a Dual 2ohm sub first then wire it in series.

On The RE site it recommends an optimal ported box to be 2.0@33Hz. I don't really have any idea what that means but would it be fine if i got a box that is 2.0@32Hz?

u cant hurt a sub under powering it but sx's like 1500-2000 rms

oh i thoguth it was only 1000 rms

thats what they are rated at but they like a good clean signal of around 1500 watts

That amp will put out more than 850 watts.

If you have the birth sheet I'm you can confirm this.

You will be more than fine with that amount of power.

What are the specs of the enclosure it's going in?

And I'm assuming it'll be in the trunk of a BMW...

Yes its in the trunk of an e36 318i so its a fairly smaller trunk. I have the trunk lid dynamatted on but the trunk latch still rattles like a ***** from the outside i feel like an aluminum can on wheels when i roll down the windows. Got any advice on fixing that?

Anyway...i haven't bought anything yet I'm doing all my research before i make any moves but i was looking at a box on ebay. The dimensions are

30" x 13.5" x16"

3/4" MDF board with a double layered front face.

2.0 cubic ft tuned @32Hz
