Enough port width/area for a 2008 RE SE12? Pic inside.

Optimal spec box calls for 2.0ft^3 at 33Hz, and the dimensions cover that. Is the port wide/big enough for the SE 12? It is 2.5'' wide with a total 32.25'' in length. Just want to make sure before I go use up the last of my mdf on this box.

So its good to go? I don't really need a thumper(wouldn't mind one though), I am looking for decent response through the low and mid bass. Thats what this sub and box is good for, right? I am going to throw about 600-800rms at 2 ohms to it if anyone was wondering.

its not necessarily only the width you want to take into account

general rule of thumb (which i violate all the time) tells you that you ned 12-16 square inches or port for every cubic foot

going from what you said, 2 cubes with 30 square inches of port falls right in that category

sounds good to me.
