enough for 3k???

I'll take one off of your hands. $25 shipped sound good? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif
throw in a kicker warhorse and well call it even...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

that is overkill on that alt it would be toasted by keeping up with those two batts and the one under the hood.
I see plenty of people on here run multiple batteries on stock alts. Never heard of it straining the alt to the point of failure. Maybe it can though? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
do you think that they will strain the alt???
See above^ I dont recall ever seeing a limit of batteries an alt can charge. maybe someone else with more experience can chime in. I'll be running 150ah worth of batteries on a 105amp alt, so Im interested to see if there are limitations to how big an alt needs to be to charge batts. lol

lol....no it won't hurt the alt. And that is plenty of power for 3k daily, I'm a fan of having a stout electrical. I like to be able to play it as long as I want and not have to worry about the electrical

reasoning behind this?

That alt can't simply recharge all of the batts daily. If he cranks every drive all drive and doesn't give the batteries time to recharge then the voltage will go down. But back to the alt issue here the amount of amps needed to keep up with those batts is not there with that alt. Sure he will get away with it but one day down the road the alt will die on him with that system. I know people have ran blah on a stock alt I don't care if you want to do it right do it right the first time.

alternators are not meant to completely charge the batteries...just keep them maintained I guess you can say. XS always says that you have to charge the batteries to completely top them off and to get max performance/life out of them
