Engine swap *LOTS OF PICS*

thanks man . i can't wait to build this beast up even more. especially since most people around here don't see el camino's around here in michigan where im at built up like this:D.

Thunderbird i have been i repainted the engine bay a high gloss black then clear coat over the top give's it a real nice shine to it . just never got the pics up of that , and im in macomb township in michigan thunderbird.

Well guy's work on the car today got the engine in man that engine was one beast. will get pics up soon for sure but man does it look bad@$$. can't wait to finally get her running:D. just have to finish putting on the headers , putting the spark plug wires back on , running the mallory ignition , run the fuel lines to the carbs , raditor back in still got alot but oh gonna be so worth it:D:).

p.s. if your in the michigan area 2morro August 5th 2007 gratiot cruise is 2morro check it out if your in michigan .

Well, as long as you are changing the bore and stroke, then I guess it WILL be a 383. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
But simply changing the heads will not increase the displacement.
That is what I was thinking, lol? But u dont need to bore to the block to get 383cuin,just a crank with a 3.75" stroke with proper clearence in the block, but since u are spending the money to get the clearence and what not but the stroke up to 3.85" and it will 396cuin which just happens to be a very power steet motormfrom my own findings.

Btw a stock gm 350 with standard bore 4.00" with a standard 3.48"stroke is 346cuin(iirc),bored .03 over pumps it up to around 355cuin,AH! I am drunk talkin shit loaded.327(big block killa) ftw/Peace

Thanks man yeah first engine swap i've done. and me and my dad been doing it it's been a real good father and son experience just workn 2gether on our hot rod so it's sweet:D. got the started in and mouted today raditor mounted in and raditor fluid in . Now just have to do the mallory ignition system , put in the tach and some things here and there.

Oh yeah for sure man . mine is in the works also i plan on switching out the plentom&lower intake with a aluminum light weight drivershaft by ford racing along with ford racing valve covers and more performance mods its a slow process but all in time:D. workn more hrs now crazy but good cash:D. 3p.m. till 11:30p.m. . gonna **** socially but the cash gonna be getn alot done to my ride i been wanting to get done:D:).
