Engine Oil

last time i changed my oil i put motocraft synthetic in, with about a half a bottle of lucas oil stabalizer, made a big difference for about to weeks...

I used Mobil 1 for about 40,000 miles, recently switched to Pennzoil Platinum. I bought car with 38k and has 97k now without any problems whatsoever, and car is highy modded. Some people claim you should use Amsoil or Royal Purple, but I never thought it was necessary. Its more in changing it regularly and using a good oil filter i.e. not a Fram. All my dads old school muscle head mechanic buddies insist that even most full synthetics are overkill, but I do it anyway.

It made a difference for two week only?

I think I'm gonna go with Mobil1

I have been using Mobil1. I can't tell the difference at all from normal oil, but I don't have to change my oil until I get to 5K miles, unlike 3K with normal oil.

i use full synthetic and change my filter every 3k miles then top off the fluid i lost. I DONT DRAIN IT. 10k miles since and still looks golden. Mobile1 for me.

Castrol and Mobil1 according to many people are the best synthetic oils on the market ...... any of you is using synthetic oil if so tell us the story

i used mobil 1 syn religiously for years in my stangs, and they loved it.

i switched to royal purple syn oil in my big power stangs, and actually gained 3-5 rwhp on average over mobil 1.

If you start using syn in your car, DO NOT switch back to regilar oil afterwards.,......not good

Then I don't really seen the need to run a ground directly from the alt, but given your situation, it can't hurt.
