Engine noise thru tweets

Getting significant engine noise (sounds like a high pitched whine) thru the speakers, especially all 4 of my tweeters. Have tried regrounding the head unit separately from factory harness, and have added additional (and bigger) wires for battery and HO alternator. (The big 3.) The RCA's run on the passenger side, completely clear of all power wires on the driver side. Both amplifiers have a solid ground. Still getting the noise. The regrounding of the head unit seemed to make an improvement initially, but 3 days later it actually seems worse. Local installer told me Dodge pickups are the worst for this kind of thing .... but he had no additional ideas for how to fix it.

Anyone have a suggestion on this problem?

Million things to try here.

One thing you can try is to ground the HU back directly to the negative post on the battery.

Also, go through the line and make sure you know where the noise is coming from. Start with pulling the RCA's from the amplifier and turn on the system. If the noise is still there, then you know the problem is the amp. If the noise goes away, plug in the RCA's to the amp and disconnect them from the HU. If the noise comes back, you know the problem is with the RCA's somewhere. Etc etc. Just go through and eliminate possibilities and narrow down what component is causing this noise.

Also, if your speakers have external passive crossovers, having the passive crossovers located near a power source (strong power wire, fuse box, computer, etc etc) can cause noise to be induced and would require relocation of the passive crossover.
