First off, sorry for the double post, but i wanted to make my post more informative from the begining. Once again, i apologize.
I completed my installation of,
Car: 1998 Plymouth Breeze
Head Unit: Sony CDX-GT805DX (http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_6927_Sony+CDX-GT805DX.html}
Speakers: Kickers 6.5's & 6X9
Sub Amp: Power Acoustik 1440 Max 720RMS
Speaker Amps: Pyramids (40RMS X 2 & 50RMS X 2)
Installation:
1 4-gauge power wire to distribution block. 8-gauge out to 1 speaker amp, 8-gauge out to other speaker amp. (There small amps, barely draw any power)
1 4-guage power wire to another distribution block. 8-gauge out to capacitor. (3 farad). 8-gauge out to sub amp.
Sub RCA's ran down power cable side (I had them in there from last install), speaker RCA's ran down opposite side.
I used a ground block to ground all my grounds to one location. I used a seat belt bolt under the back seat. Cleaned it off the best i could with sandpaper, steel wool and all.. Grounds got a little bit long because trying to get them all to one location.
PROBLEM:
After installed, i turned just my stero on, when it starts up, my speakers make a weird sound, only for a second tho, like they have power going to them.
Now, when i turn on the car, all i hear is a loud hiss type sound coming out of the speakers. When i press the gas, the sound gets louder. Keep in mind, this is extremely loud. I had to turn my speakers almost all the way up to not be able to hear it that well.
When i unplug my RCA's, it goes away. I dont think my sub picks up any bad noise, im not 100% possitive but im pretty sure it doesnt.
WHAT TO DO NOW:
Im going to ground my headunit somewhere else to its own ground spot
Reground amps, and make the ground wires as short as possible. May not be able to ground them all in the same spot though.
Try and pull HU out while playing to see if im getting radiating noise
ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS, PLEASE HELP ITS FUSTERATING
