anyone heard of the singularity summit: AI and the future of humanity. it was a conference held this weekend discussing how in the near future computers will be smarter than man. they discussed how we are very close to creating brain implants that would make the human mind think as fast as todays microprocessors.....

anyone seen IROBOT? ha ha end of the world as we know it

on a side note, does anyone think all the radiowaves from cell phone usage will ultimately lead to the next step in evolution in the form of true telepathy?

No, they lead to tumors.

Just a day ago there was a news story about animals that have radio tracking devices implanted in them developing tumors.

I dont know if you're old enough to remember, but not long after handheld cell phones were were on the market one of the designers of the concept that was used in all phones for antennas went on 60 Minutes claiming the antennas greatly increased the possibility of brain tumors due to their being used right up against the head when making a call.

also, greenhouse gases will never destroy the earth...

they may (may) make it warmer, or uncomfortable for us, nukes may make it uninhabitable, but we do not have the power to destroy a planet.. only to alter it..
