Well I'm a rep for a few companies. I also have accts in smd and caco. But here is where I'm at 90% of the time like it here too my only issue is a lot of scamming going on. I think those who are caught red handed at this should not only be boers banned but ip banned as well that way they can't just make a new acct and do it again to someone else. We just need to get rid of the bad elements to make it a great forum.

50% of this site could leave and all it would do is hurt the dome. They offer 0 real info....often times sending out the wrong info.
Personally I think the maturity level of this site is among the lowest of any site I frequent. The mods here are pretty slack....really slack actually. There are a couple who should maybe resign until they get their poop in a group....but thats goobs call.

Also, on the vendor deal.....there should be no covering up of anything. There is a buyer/seller feedback thread for users....how come not one for vendors? Something the vendors cannot alter. Same rules apply.....if you are not part of a deal gone bad....you keep out of the thread.

Nothing is being covered up on the vendor situation. Even the thread that has been closed (and may be re-opened, at the discretion of other mods who are more familiar with that situation) was 'closed', not 'deleted'. Adding a vendor section to the site has many advantages for the members here, but it also adds several layers of complication to the mods' responsibilities here. We have accepted those added complications, and have/will do our best to walk that fine line between fairness and openess to the vendors, and to the members. Imagine if this was a brick and mortar store, that sold brand X equipment. Would that store allow people to stand outside the front door and tell all potential customers entering the building that brand X *****? No, they wouldn't. But this site also owes an obligation to its members to allow free speech. Again, the SKAR post is not deleted, and the new one has not even been closed. So with all that being said, I think its unfair to characterize this situation as ca.com or itss staff as trying to cover up anything. Thanks for the opinion though.

No, it wasn't the dome threads I was talking about Audio, couldn't care less about those......it was the posts about people disgruntled that got screwed over in the Skar vendor section, where he edited posts and deleted posts to make himself look better.

Ive opened a discussion on that in the moderator back room. The vendors generally police and moderate their own section of this site, but yes I do not know what the procedure is if there is anything underhanded going on. I can say tho, that (again) we have not deleted any info (that Im aware of) about any of that outside of the vendor's section. Again, we walk a tightrope here, hopefully you can see the predicament we are placed in.

Oh for sure.....and thats why I think there should be a vendor feedback forum. Only for those who have made deals with the vendor. If you are not part of the deal or have pertinent information on the deal, you are not allowed in that thread.

This way vendors cannot delete or change what they don't like, and anyone trolling in there you guys have the rights to ban. Keep it neutral for both parties to get the poop in a group.

I know when I go to buy from someone on here I don't scroll through 100 pages to see if their name is in there. Searching names is a waste of time as well.

However....a dedicated vendor one, would be much easier to locate. And much easier to identify. And it would be more organized. Hopefully keeping the crap out of the dome, wasting bandwidth.

I've always respected Manville and Tracy across all forums despite me not using their products. They were fantastic assets to a forum. I suppose passively in CA's defense, I haven't seen them anywhere in quite some time. I remember exchanging PMs with Tracy on CAF several times, but it's been over 4 years since he's signed on there.

Well that could explain his abrupt departure to some degree. I always thought of it to be weird for people to be active on a daily manner and then literally cease logging in entirely with no gradual decrease over time.

Tracey left because some iditiot fell for a troll in OT impersonating Kicker. It was a joke, a kid, that would have been allowed anywhere. No one thought that fool would send him money to get his amp repaired first.
