While I respect your opinion, I have to disagree. This place should be looser? Try going over to caco or one of the other car audio forums and see how loose they are. Dan and a couple others think they are hurting this site when they cause drama and badmouth the mods, but I simply see it as an opportunity to show the members here that we allow enough freedom of speech to accept negative opinions, even about the staff or the site itself. Most of the people who wish the 'old days' would come back are the people who want to go back to playing hangman or other such nonsense. You remember Rndy's hangman game, right? Whoever won the game, got to choose any member at random to get banned. That's really cool and fun, for the people in their click, for the people who got banned for no reason at all, it wasn't nearly so cool.
These people keep returning here because even after creating their own nonsense based site, they've realized its not so fun when the population is ... only them. They want to play petty little games like that here, where the population is much higher, generally consisting of people who are here to discuss car audio, not see pics of ***** or participate in random banning games.
Lets also not forget, in the 'good old days', certain mods gave out their login info to their friends, to ban people as they chose. So yes, I find it quite ironic he's here now (or was, before he just got banned) claiming Im the one playing favorites with my buddies. I dont even know what buddies of mine he was referring to. The good old days were only good for a select few people, and over all bad for the site as a whole. This is a car audio site, not Randy or Dan or a few others' personal playground to push their weight around as a moderator. Those days are gone, and they need to get over it.
