enclosure problems

i don't know if this is the right place to post this question but it seemed to fit in.

anyways, i have two 10" subs in a dual sealed enclosure that's in kind of a wedge design (flat front and slanted in the back). i had this box in my old car years ago and the trunk's weatherstripping wasn't 100% leak free so the wood had expanded slowly. it wasn't too bad at first, but now in my current car it sounds really bad. the slanted part of the back is no longer secured to the rest of the box so it flexes a lot. i'm sure that my repeated use only made it worse. in the past few months that i had noticed it more, i was able to push the wood together somewhat and it would be alright for a little while, but now it's gone to hell.

my question is, can this be repaired? i was thinking maybe it can be glued back or nailed tight (is this even a good idea?) but i don't want to peel off the carpeting to find out until i get some comments on the situation.

Make your own box suited for your subs specs

Build a new enclosure or have one built. If the joint has failed due to water damage, the wood is also destroyed. I have had two enclosures fail due to water damage and there really is no repairing it.

ah, that's what i was afraid of. i will have to save up a little more, possibly just sell these subs and get a single 12" but in any case, thanks for the advice guys.
