Enclosure help please!

Sealed to ported: Where can I go to get a "Sound Ordnance Bass Bunker BB12-T" (found on Crutchfield.com) box ported? Or how can I do it myself? I thought I was slick and bought two of these to put on the sides of my trunk for more space, but after more research, I saw that I needed a ported box instead of a sealed box because I like boomy bass as I listen to hip-hop (REAL HIP-HOP). Please help me!

I'd say try them sealed first, see how they sound and go from there. I have a 10" sealed in a box and I listen to hip-hop as well. Sounds great. If it doesn't, maybe try adding some poly-fil. To build a ported enclosure for those drivers is going to be a bit larger req than what the sealed provide.

Good suggestion! I will take your advice and hook it up normally, and then decide from there. Will the poly-fil ever catch on fire if it gets too hot?
