Enclosure for my sub

I have a Diamond D312D2 running off a Fosgate P400-2 rated right at 500 watts, with an Alpine 9885 .

It currently lives here http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_7498_Sonic+Sub+Box-+1SV12.html and I also have this box http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_7596_Sonic+Sub+Box-+1H12-1.4.html just sitting unused. My question is, which box would be better performance wise for this sub? I listen to a mix of music from country to rap to rock, and right now it hits very good, but was wondering about the sealed box and how hard it would hit. I'm not a fan of sealed so I'd say ported. I'm also not a fan of prefabs so I probably wouldn't like the ported box you're using either.

the manual is all you need. it gives you a nice range the box volume should be. Personally I think 2 cu.ft. tuned to 30-35Hz would be best. go to this site for help on the dimensions:
