okay... throwing out some numbers for a box design for 2 Powerbass XL-84's 8" subs svc 4ohms
Powering the subs with a: Hifonics Brutus 1500d at 4ohms 500watts approx. 250watts to each sub
sub rms is 200 peak is 400
Box Layout - L port
Width: 32"s
Height: 14"s
Depth: 12"s
Port Width: 2"s , First port length: 9.25"s , Second port length: 15"s
total port length 28"s : 1.901 cubes. tuned to 33hz before displacement
website says .76 per sub tuned between 30-40hz ... not sure what the displacement is on the subs didn't see it on their site. I'm guessing with a 4.3" mounting depth and not that big of a motor structure around .07 - .1 displacement ? so after displacement I am looking at close to 1.7 - 1.8 cubes? tuning 34hz ? if any one can throw some comments out or suggestions i would appreciate it.. I will be running 2 of them out of the same box listening to a lot of mixed music but mainly a lot or rap & dub step stuff. I've got 2 other ones in some .65 sealed boxes in my brothers truck so I know they will get loud and pretty deep in a sealed box.
