So somehow i guess 600 watts rms is a bit much for this speaker cause i seemed to have blown it, only 1 blew i had 2 of them hooked to a jbl 1200.1 anyways to the point where and how much does it cost to get a blown speaker repaired? (aproxximately would be fine) thanks in advance

I think its the amp. People have high output head units connected to that thing and it only goes up to 4V sensitivity. Probably sent a clipped signal.

Check the sub and see if the tinsel lead came off of the terminal. If so just solder it back on. Check that before you look into sending to get repaired. Sometimes when you think you blew a sub, the tinsel lead just popped off of the terminal.

Happend to me, but I had got mine at CC and they couldn't figure out what was wrong so they gave me a whole new sub, well 2 new subs, they couldn't figure out which one had the problem.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Been on the Detroit Lions board mainly, talking football and preparing for the draft (which has passed). I popped my head in here occasionally but didn't answer anything, seeing as to how there mostly the same questions over and over again.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/banghead.gif.8606515f668c74f6de0281deb475b6fd.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Got plenty;)

Look into eD bro.

i live down river by metro airport...... i will have to check the tensiels i just havent had the time lately **** working on the weekends .......

I'm strongly considering the eD's but I want the A's. They only come in 2ohm. My amp is not 1 Ohm stable and gives out only 500w @ 4 Ohms. I still might do it, go with a 15" and port it. But I don't have any data or opinions about how a ported 15A sounds.

I live in East Lansing, Michigan. Graduated from MSU last summer.

nope not the tinsels they are still in place.. when i tap the outside of the sub it sounds funny like a resonanting sound unlike the other one which sounds normal when i tap it (if that makes and sense at all..) anyways..... im probably either #1 gonna repair the sub (again who/where can i go/send this sub to be fixed and how much do they charge) or im gonna try and sell it as is blown speaker (anyone interested?) after all they dont make this awesome sub any more!

i never had any problems with it up to this point and they sounded awesome (a bit too loud for me, my hearing unforuntaly suffered while i had them which is why i might go with just the 1 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
