Elemental designs subs

Hey everyone, i want to know opinions on elemental designs ENTRY level models. I currently have an infinity kappa 12, and was looking casually at the elemental designs, maybe one twelve or fifteen. How is SQ compared to infinity? Is there a good place to get them? There is a guy in the classifieds that has two, but he wants just $15 less than they sell brand new from ED's website.

How is SPL of one 15 compared to two 10's or 12's or a single 12? Any info is great help! Thanks so much!

You're talking about the Kv.2's, correct?

I would pick them over the Infinity...more output, as well as an improvement in SQ.

I wouldn't buy them new, but since you're thinking about used models I'd say to go for it.

Two 10's yes, Two 12's probably not.

Depends on different things though. There's no definite answer here.

But a 15" has more cone area than two 10's, but generally less cone area than two 12's. Then you have to take excursion, power, box size, etc etc into account aswell.

No. You don't lose any.

Really, i have always thought that 15's were supposed to be "sloppier," etc. So are these k series pretty good subs??

That is a common, and FALSE, car audio myth that for some reason is constantly passed around.

for $200 you can get 2 13kv's shipped which isnt bad. I got a single 13kv2 and never really had any complaints about it for a $125 sub. I dont know if its just me but it seems like its easier to find a used RL-p than it is to find a used ED sub.

Ive heard the Kv. series. Not that spectacular to me anyway.

They're better than any subs in their price range basically. 13Kv.2's are going for $100 shipped due to pre-production and thats with a 3 year warranty. Kv.2's get louder than most, if not all the budget subs I've heard, except the '05 Type R but I still prefer the Kv.2's SQ over the R.

Really? I honestly didnt think they were loud at all. and Ive heard them in sealed and ported boxes.
